No! While our animal-free dairy milk is lactose free, hormone free, and cruelty free, it is NOT dairy free. The non-animal whey protein we use is identical to the whey protein found in traditional cow’s milk. So, if you have a milk protein allergy, you’ll need to avoid animal-free dairy milk, just as you would any other conventional dairy product.

Bored Cow is gluten-free and nut free*, and contains no soy or grain allergens. You can find a complete list of ingredients on the nutrition panel on our product page.

Yes! Animal-free dairy is aseptic and ultra-filtered, which means it’s shelf stable at room temperature for 6+ months. That allows us to ship Bored Cow without energy-intensive refrigeration. It also means you can store your backups in your pantry. Just make sure you refrigerate it before consuming, because it’s way better cold.

Bored Cow does not contain any GMOs. Our partners at Perfect Day teach microflora to make milk protein using a genetic ‘recipe’ for cow’s milk. However, the microflora are filtered out during the production process, leaving nothing but pure, animal-free whey at the end. It’s why you won’t find a bioengineered label on any Bored Cow products!
