Who doesn't love melty cheese dip?! This animal-free version of pub cheese has all the taste of traditional bar cheese dip, without any of the lactose or animal-cruelty. Plus, it's easy to whip up at home. Pro tip: spice it up (or down) depending on your heat tolerance.

Ingredients

¼ cup Bored Cow Original

1 tbsp vegan butter

1 tbsp flour

½ cup ginger ale

½ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp cayenne

¼ tsp paprika

salt and pepper to taste

1 clove minced garlic

½ tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce

½ tbsp mustard

3 oz shredded vegan cheddar

3 oz shredded vegan cheese of choice

Instructions

  1. Melt vegan butter and flour on low, stirring to form a roux (table sauce).

  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients, except the shredded vegan cheeses.

  3. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until everything is well combined.

  4. Add both shredded cheeses to the pot over medium-low heat, and stir occasionally for 5-7 minutes.

  5. Once the cheese is melted and the sauce is thick, remove from heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Enjoy ASAP for best results!
